Planning a Discount Disney World Vacation
There are seven basic areas where planning is necessary for
your Discount Disney World Vacation...
calendar, travel, accommodations, ticketing, food, scheduling, and
souvenirs. If you are wanting to reduce costs of your Discount
Disney World Vacations, each of these areas should be considered
individually.
- Calendar - One of the quickest ways to save on your
Disney vacation is to go during the least expensive times and
avoid the major tourist seasons. Although you will find crowds
during most months, the busiest times for Walt Disney World are
during the summer months, winter and spring breaks, and major
holidays. If you can avoid those times, you will most likely find
better deals on travel and accommodations. Of course, much depends
upon the schedule of your children and school, etc.
- Travel - Saving money on travel to your Discount Walt
Disney World Vacation is not an option, but a priority. "Getting
there" can be almost as expensive as "being there. There are
several ways you can save additional money on air travel to Disney World.
What many don’t know is that there are actually two airports in
the Orlando area: Orlando International and Sanford International
Airport. Or you might be able to save a little more by driving to
Orlando and following some good tips on limiting your expenses.
- Accommodations - In Disney and Orlando, your lodging choices are numerous…
We’ve tried many of them. You can stay on site at Disney Hotels
and still get some pretty good discounts. Or you can stay off site
at other hotels. Hotel rooms, villas, timeshares and even whole
houses for rent in the Kissimmee / Disney area just minutes
from the Main Gate are among your options.
- Ticketing - Like lodging, your Disney ticketing
options are so numerous that it becomes almost mind-boggling.
If you purchase at the front gates, you WILL NOT get the best
deals. The best money-saving strategy is to purchase your Disney
Park Hopper passes at a discount BEFORE you arrive in Orlando.
- Food - The price, variety, and quality of food at Walt
Disney World can be overwhelming. But by knowing your budget and
knowing the options you have, you can plan out your meals so that
you don’t end up spending a fortune. Take some concentrated time
in this area and you will not be disappointed like my friends
were. Find out more of their story
here.
- Scheduling - Your Disney vacation may be a
"once-in-a-lifetime" experience for you and your family. So you
want to make the most of it while at the same time, not trying to
do and see it all. It’s important to know WHAT to see and WHEN to
see it.
- Souvenirs - Walt Disney World is a master at marketing.
Wherever you go "on property" you will find loads of opportunities
to part with your hard-earned cash. In planning your Discount
Disney Vacations you must factor in your Disney souvenirs.
Outside of always saying "NO!" to your child when she sees the
spinning Mickey lights and glow necklaces during the Spectromagic
parade or Fantasmic , believe it our not, there are ways to save
while providing memorable keepsakes from your vacation.
Once again, I must say... Discount Disney Vacations ARE
POSSIBLE. But you must plan well in advance.
- Know your budget.
- Know your options.
- Know what Walt Disney World is all about.
Start your planning NOW. And your Discount Disney Vacation will
be a memorable, magical, and wonderful experience for you and your
family!
